I started in martial arts at age 10 studying at Gene Claires going to CGC Karate and Fitness both in Warren Ohio receiving my black belt 1986. I also taught at Doyle’s Karate and American Karate Studios. Between the years of 1999 and 2015 I held many state titles, the one that I am most proud of is Black Belt Breaking which I had 12 years running… On April 20, 2002 I was inducting into the PKC Black Belt Hall of Fame and on May 13, 2017 was inducting into the National IMANA Hall of Fame both of which I am very proud to be part of. I am ranked in several different kinds of martial arts…10th Degree Black Belt in American Kenpo, 3rd Degree Black Belt Eishin-Ryu Iaido and 3rd Level JKD. I also became a CDT Tactical Master. I have also trained Tai-Chi, Brazilian, Jui-Jitsu, Aikido, Kwanmukan, Kali, Silat, but hold no official rank. The one thing that I have learned after all my years in martial arts is that: You can never quit learning.
